TOPIC: Who is Burning Gaza?
To the rest of the world's complete lack of surprise, severe violence and perhaps war is flaring up again between Israelis and Palestinians. Why do neither Hamas nor Israel seem interested in peace?
An additional question for this discussion group: while hundreds of thousands are starving and being murdered in Africa, why does the rest of the world concern it self so with these relatively small groups of people in the Middle East?

Is this where I post the comment if I can't make it?
Anyway, I was thinking just this thing the past few days. The decade long war in the Congo, having claimed the lives of over 5 million people, along with mass/gang rape, has never seen the coverage as has this week long war in the Gaza.
I think it has alot to do with racism and classism.
I still think the media coverage is appropriate. All war should receive this much attention.
